Fall River Waterworks is a 22-acre historic site located in Fall River, Massachusetts. The original buildings were constructed from local Fall River granite, mostly in the Ruskinian Gothic style. The property, which is still used as a water works for the city, contains the original pumping station, intake house and 121-foot tall standpipe water tower. The facility was originally built between 1872 and 1875. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. Cenaxo was selected for the masonry restoration portion of the project. Our masons worked closely with the general contractor to coordinate the selective demolition and the re-construction of major sections of the building. The restoration included cataloging of the stones, demolition, rebuilding, and copper flashing.
