Original completed in 1883 and added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1972, the gothic style church designed by architect Henry Hobson Richardson was in need of significant structural restoration.
Working in collaboration with Structures North Engineers from Salem, MA, Cenaxo began the work of replacing the severally damaged spire.
The delicate process of dismantling nearly half of the 130’ steeple began in the summer of 2015 and will be completed in the summer of 2016 with addition of a new timber framed spire.
Cenaxo was selected for this unique restoration project because of our experience with historic façade restoration and our ability to do all the work with our in-house skilled craftspeople.
