The design of the Portland City Hall is based loosely on a French Renaissance Hotel de Ville. It was built with granite from North Jay, Maine. The structure was built in 1909 and was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Cenaxo was selected to repoint the decorative stone elements of the Portland City Hall. Work included stone fabrication and resetting coping stones. There was brick joint repointing as well. Our skilled craftsman performed the work during the summer and fall of 2013, which included mortar repointing, weather cap installation, and support wall reconstruction.
