The Trinity-on-Main Church in downtown New Britain, Connecticut was designed by famed Amos P. Cutting. This Romanesque-revival style church, built entirely of granite, was completed in 1891. The church boasts a 108-foot tower with four turrets.
After many years of deterioration and restoration efforts that did not address the structural stability of the turrets, Cenaxo was selected to install the unique Cintec anchoring system. This stainless steel and grout anchoring system was combined with custom stainless steel fabrications. Our skilled masons installed over 100 anchors and plates by core drilling into the granite façade.
The Cintec anchor system successfully stabilized and reinforced the turrets. This historic 120-year-old church will exist for many generations to come.
